Here's another good reason why the Sharp Zaurus deserved the Editor's Choice we gave it two months ago.: It's a wi-fi radio: a wireless Internet radio receiver. The first of the breed, in fact.
All you need is your Zaurus, a wi-fi (802.11b) wireless card and a $10 shareware application called Zradio. Add headphones and you've got a wi-fi Walkman. Add a pair of portable powered speakers and you've got your very own mini-cluster of Linux-powered wi-fi boom boxen.
When we pointed him to it, Bill Goldsmith of Radio Paradise said,
Well that is just the coolest thing... I could easily write a web app for that screen size that would let me control the station as well as listen to it - anywhere with WiFi access. How cool is that?
